Terms of Service

1. License & Permitted Use

Local Dice grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the application on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

Local Dice is designed as a visual companion tool for tabletop gaming and entertainment. You agree to use the application solely for lawful and personal recreational purposes.

2. Peer-to-Peer Data and Local Storage

By using Local Dice, you acknowledge and agree that:

• No Central Cloud Storage: Local Dice operates entirely on your device and connects directly with nearby devices over local wireless signals. There is no central cloud server to store, back up, or remotely recover your saved formulas, custom colors, or player profiles.
• Permanent Data Loss Upon Deletion: If you delete Local Dice from your device, all saved configurations, history logs, and app data will be permanently erased. This data cannot be restored or recovered by the developer.

3. User-Generated Content & Dice Table Moderation

The App permits users to input custom names for private dice tables. Because these textual modifications are shared within localized groups, a zero-tolerance policy is strictly encouraged regarding abusive or objectionable behavior.

• Content Restrictions: You explicitly agree not to utilize names, tags, or textual data strings that contain profane, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or otherwise offensive terminology.
• Host Administrative Moderation: The user initiating a private dice table acts as the local administrator. The host retains absolute administrative authority to change any participant's display handle, dice table name, or the dice table owner's name.
• Termination: The host has an ability to boot anyone from their private dice table.
• Isolation: Everyone has the capability to open their own private dice table and lock it so no one can join it. You can make the app an island unto yourself if you choose.

4. App Store Purchases

The app features a Premium Unlock that provides access to private dice tables, visual customizations, saved dice rolls, and dice roll histories.

• In-App Purchase: A single, one-time fee unlocks Premium across all of your iOS and MacOS devices.
• Refunds: Refunds are handled through the Apple App Store, per Apple guidelines and rules.

5. Intellectual Property Protections

Local Dice, including its design, custom code, graphics, and original content, is owned by Kevin Cureton and protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

6. Disclaimer

Local Dice is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis without warranties of any kind. While designed for high performance and accuracy, local wireless interference, environmental factors, or device hardware differences may affect peer-to-peer mesh connectivity and range.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any system failures, connection drops, data loss, or other direct or indirect damages arising from your use of the application.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California and the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
